I’m a divergently creative professional with 20+ years of hands-on experience designing innovative, engaging and dynamic learning experiences for a range of learners in a spectrum of formats.
My professional persona is multifaceted and continues to evolve. . . I am an instructional designer, eLearning & curriculum developer, instructor, facilitator, researcher, curator, speaker, writer, media specialist, multimedia producer, and most of all, learner.
I’m an idea person, and believe in the power of learning to transform. I can translate traditional curriculum, instructor-led training and synchronous course materials into interactive, impactful eLearning infused with relevant, research-based instructional design approaches via current platforms and multimedia technology.
I've presented at TCEA, TXLA, AASL, ISTE, the ESC20 Learning and Libraries Conference, the Texas Google Summit, the New Leaf in Learning and Learning Forward Conferences, led professional development webinars for TXLA, and co-facilitated the eCourse "Teaching Students to Ask Their Own Questions: Best Practices in the Question Formulation Technique" by the Right Question Institute + Harvard Graduate School of Education.
I also enjoy writing, and have written guest blog posts for Education Week’s Classroom Q & A with Larry Ferlazzo, Larry Ferlazzo’s Websites of the Day, and 52 Weeks of Guided Inquiry, along with posts via my personal blog, Curious Squid.
